I support Peter's Day. Perhaps this could include a ceremony where the new members for the year are formally announced and recognized. So it would be at the end of Michaelmas Term.

As for the others, 2011 - I prefer to wait until 2021 for the 50th anniversary. We will be quite old then and perhaps finally respected as alumni of the College.

What exactly is a Community Spirit project? Sounds very sociological and we don't do that at Lampeter. If it has a metaphysical connotation then perhaps we should seek the advice of the Theology Dept., but on second thought that isn't their metier either.

Student sponsorship????? Clarication required. A scholarship perhaps?

How about a traveling stipend for American members who have the burden of a dollar to sterling exchange rate? I mean four pounds for a two stop ride on the tube is outrageous for anyone but it works out to $8.50 for me. That's the price of glass of ice tea in Tokyo.

Do not believe that the Dollar is Almighty for everyone. Actually I spent a nice week in Cornwall recently where the prices for food and lodging were very reasonable and the spring weather wonderful.
